In this virtual class students will focus on developing scale and composition while mastering the technical challenges of working large. I will discuss my experience growing my practice and demonstrate ways of achieving smooth even surfaces across large panels. Discussions will include scaling up your ideas, tools, and materials; gessoing a large panel; application of brushstrokes to create a smooth, even surface; working with large brushes; fusing; the elements of composition; finishing work with Pigment Stick; and mixing color. 

This workshop is virtual. An hour and a half long session of pre-recorded content will be made available to you on the date listed below. You will have three months to watch the videos as many times as you’d like. A Group Zoom session provides the opportunity to review questions and challenges.
